Pierre Louis Costes wins 2016 Mike Stewart Pipeline Invitational

In pristine 6-10 foot Pipeline conditions, it was Pierre Louis Costes that took home first place at the event, besting a talented field that included Jacob Romero, Jared Houston and Lewy Finnegan.

Costes proved to be in the same, ultra competitive form that helped him win the 2011 world championship. The Frenchman pulled a high scoring move to start off the final, and backed up his high score to win with a 19.26. Hawaii’s Jacob Romero battled back to earn second place with a 16.17, and Jarred Houston and Lewy Finnegan scored a respective 15.03 and 12.10.
