Brisa Hennessy joins the T&C surf team

T&C Surfboards is pleased to announce the addition of Brisa Hennessy to the T&C surf team.

Hennessy was born and raised off the grid in Matapalo, Costa Rica. She grew up under the wings of her parents who ran a surf school. She naturally started swimming at the young age of 2 and was standing on a soft-top by 3.

Her family moved back to Hawaii to take care of her grandparents and has been living in Kailua, Oahu for the past 7 years. Hennessy is taking advantage of the great waves Hawaii has to offer and is chasing her dream of becoming a great pro surfer.

At just 15 years old, Hennessy has been making a name for herself since she arrived on the scene in 2010. With an already impressive list of accomplishments under her belt, drive and determination way beyond her years, Hennessy is on her way to persuing her dream as a pro surfer.

Today, she travels across the globe competing in contests in some of the best surf breaks in the world. At 15, she is on a roll and charging!

Hennessy trains rigorously under the guidance of professional surfer, certified personal trainer and waterman Kahea Hart. She recently claimed the title of 2014 Surfing America National Title (U18), NSSA Regional Champion and captured the NSSA Most Inpirational Surfer Award.

Hennesey attributes her success to trying her very best and working really hard while having the most fun. “I am addicted and I feel that I was just meant to be a surfer” she claims. Her favorite local breaks are Kewalos, Ala Moana Bowls, V-land and Sunset.

Hennessy joins the team along with current team riders Alessa Quizon, Billy Kemper, Dax McGill, Dustin Cuizon, Finn McGill and Kekoa Bacalso.
