Heather Brown Book Signing – April 30th

Honolulu based publishing company, Black Sand along with Heather Brown are pleased to announce the release of “The Art of Heather Brown” fine art book. The release is a culmination of the last 10 years of one of the most prolific artists hailing from the State of Hawaii. “The Art of Heather Brown” showcases many of the artist’s most famous pieces alongside some of the work Brown has created for the non-profits, musicians and companies she has worked with over the past decade. With pre-sales of the book almost completely selling out the first edition, “The Art of Heather Brown” is sure to be a worldwide success.

bio pic for ASGHeather Brown is a North Shore Oahu, Hawaii Artist who after receiving her Bachelors in Fine Arts from University of Hawaii in 2003 hit the ground running and hasn’t looked back. Now with galleries around the world selling her art, Brown has found herself at the forefront of an exciting art movement – even garnering her the title “Godmother of Modern Surf Art” LA Times. Heather Brown has not only been active in her own galleries and galleries around the world supporting her art, but she is also well known for her past 6 years of design work with the popular surf clothing line Rip Curl, she is the artist behind the Kokua Foundation and has worked with many organizations such as the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, The Womens Pipeline Pro, Vans Shoes, The Surfrider Foundation, Jack Johnson, Jake Shimabukuro and many non-profits around the Globe.

The Greenroom Gallery located in Waikiki will be holding the inaugural book signing for “The Art of Heather Brown” on Wednesday April 30th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Greenroom Gallery.
