North Shore comes alive

The buoys in Hawaii hit excess of 27ft. for Monday’s swell, easily the biggest readings of the season and possibly several decades. And if you know anything about buoy readings, that’s MASSIVE! Unfortunately, onshore winds matched with the size made it completely un-surfable on the North Shore and with waves washing over parts of the road, officials put a closure on Kamehameha Hwy. between Haleiwa and Turtle Bay for the first time in memory. And you know what? El Niño ain’t over yet..
