“The Eye” was taken at Keʻiki on an epic day that will forever be ingrained in my memory. It was so good that I shot for almost six hours straight! I captured this shot with my 100mm Macro lens, which is not in every surf photographer’s camera quiver. In order to get this shot, I had to actually look into my viewfinder to make sure I obtained the right composition. When you have a solid closeout coming at you, that situation can be sketchy.
Abstract water photography has been my main focus these past couple of years. After a win in the 2019 National Geographic Travel Photo Contest and multiple publications, life has been busy! The ocean means so much to me and I thank God every day for His creation. With that being said, enjoy nature and keep it clean!
