Volcom’s BBQ Skate Mash Tour stop #3 on the Big Island of Hawaii at the Waimea skate park went off. Tons off young and old skaters showed up for a afternoon of fun. Every skater received a limited edition custom Volcom Hawaii cheese had made on location. The contest was a jam format best trick contest with two division 12 and under and 13 and up. The skaters would all gather around a certain part of the park, then all the 12 and under skaters would try there best tricks for 20 minutes, The 13 and over would judge the 12 and under and the 12 and under would judge the 13 and over. We hit 6 different parts of the park and giving away backpacks full of Volcom goodies to the winners. The day ended with a huge product toss in the middle of the park. Free food, free hats, tons of prizes and most important free fum, kids were stoked.
Volcom’s last stop of the BBQ Skate Mash Tour will be held on the Island of Kauai at Kapaa skate park this coming November date TBA…
The BBQ Skate Mash tour is part of the “Let the Kids Ride Free contest series that Volcom puts on in Hawaii. we do 4 skate events (BBQ Skate Mash Tour) and 4 surf events (Pufferfish Surf Series) one skate and one surf event on each island once a year. These events are free to kids of all ages and at the end of the day kids will walk away with a ton of free product, free food and drinks and of course lots of fun memories.
The second stop of the Pufferfish Surf series will be Oct. 19th at Banyans on the Big Island
