What’s New: Surf Into Summer Gets Upgraded to a WSL QS1000
This year, we’re bringing a whole new game to Oahu’s South Shore. In 2014, we added the Stabl Thrash for Cash Pro division with a roster of Hawaii’s best talent shred the Ala Moana Bowl. When the white wash settled, it was the brothers Moniz, Seth and Isaiah, taking home the top two spots. Continuing with this theme, we’ve raised the bar even higher.
Introducing the Local Motion Surf Into Summer Pro presented by Vissla. This year, Surf Into Summer has become a World Surf League QS1000 qualifying event. To add to the fun, we have also continued the Vissla Creators and Innovators special event within the event. This invite only event will see our favorite surfboard engineers compete for the bragging rights of best surfer shaper. Staying true to tradition, this contest will also hold our normal amateur divisions along with the pros and shapers. To include all divisions, this years contest has extended by a day and will run from Friday May 22 through Monday May 25.
Mahalo to Surf Into Summer sponsors Vissla, D’blanc, Freesurf Magazine, Waiola, Wade Tokoro, Skullcandy, and Vertra.
