Headliners to drop in for demo at T&C amateur skate contest
HONOLULU, HI – July 17, 2015 -T&C Skateboards,Dakine and Stereo invite skaters to come out and show their skills at Kamiloiki Skate Park in Hawaii Kai on August 15th. The T&C / Dakine / Stereo Sunburn Classic, is sponsored by FreeSurf Magazine, Boardstories TV, PACt Cranberry Extract Water and The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.
The event is one way T&C Skateboards gives back to the community. The event lets skaters get some contest experience, kick back at the park with Dakine and Stereo pro skaters and walk away with a ton of sponsor giveaways. Entry fee is one canned food item. All canned food collected from the event will be donated to a local food bank.
Be sure to get there early to secure a spot. Registration opens promptly at 8:15 a.m., and divisions will sell out quickly. Competitors skate in one of five divisions; 9 and under, 10-13, 14-17, 18 & over and sponsored (A&B-team riders). The contest starts promptly at 9 a.m.
Preliminary rounds will consist of twenty skaters showcasing their skills one by one. Riders with top scores advance to the finals. A trophy and a massive prize pack, will go to the top riders in each division.
Flying in is the Dakine skate team members Chris Haslam, Jordan Hoffart and Walker Ryan to put on a skate demo and sign autographs. Everyone is encouraged to bring their board, backpack or T-shirt for their favorite skater to sign.
